About the role

We are looking for a Residential Childcare Worker as part of a team providing 24‐hour care within Children's Residential Services. You will be working in a Children's Home caring for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. Hours of work include day shifts (including sleep in duties), weekend working and bank holidays as part of a flexible working rota and on occasion waking night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24‐hour care for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver holistic support in a Children's Home environment.
  • Participate in flexible rota including day, weekend, bank holidays, and occasional night shifts.

Qualifications and training

The ideal candidate will hold or be willing to progress to NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People. We will support you to complete the qualification on starting in the role, which must be completed within 2 years.
