Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Graduate Marketing and Communications Officer to support the work of the central corporate communications team and family hubs team in promoting our family hub offer.

Responsibilities

  • Use a variety of marketing and communications techniques with hands-on delivery to engage families and stakeholders effectively.
  • Create video content.
  • Manage social media and develop newsletters.
  • Identify opportunities for press releases and support events.
  • Capture stories of families and the benefits that attending family hub sessions has brought to them and their children.
  • Tell good-news stories of staff achievements in supporting families and of positive developments relating to Tameside’s family hubs.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to produce clear, engaging content for a range of audiences and platforms.
  • Ability to generate fresh ideas for campaigns and storytelling that resonate with local communities.
  • Recent degree or equivalent and genuine interest in local government and public service.
  • Initiative, curiosity, and eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Great organisational skills and the ability to work well with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
