Tameside Council is seeking Library Assistants to deliver frontline library services across eight libraries.

The role involves staffing the counter, shelving books, helping people with PCs, printing and scanning, and promoting reading and library services.

You will handle cash and card payments, assist with information requests, lead Time for a Rhyme sessions for children aged 0–4, and support library events.

Applicants must have good customer service, clear spoken English, and IT literacy.
