The Role
Based at Tame Street Depot Stalybridge, we have an opportunity available to support the QS/Supervisor by providing appropriate engineering input on projects, strategies and policies, at a local and regional level. The successful candidate will have experience of working within a street lighting and highways engineering environment and be prepared to work with appropriate bodies both within and external to Tameside to secure the wider economic prosperity of the borough.
About You
You will also be expected to undertake responsibility for project managing the design and delivery of lighting schemes, attend and advise at public/Member meetings, compose reports and documents and support the team in the day-to-day running of the section. Experience of using computer packages, completing tasks to potentially conflicting deadlines, supporting change and innovation of office processes and procedures and motivating others is essential. You will need to be experienced in providing high-quality business support and have the ability to work under pressure to demands. You will have experience of analysing data, and communicating with a variety of audiences. You must be able to work on your own initiative and provide an excellent level of customer service. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, be a flexible team player and must be able to work at pace with attention to detail.
