We are looking for a Teacher in Mechanical Engineering. Responsibilities:

  • You’ll be responsible for planning, delivering and developing teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles;
  • Taking responsibility for your quality of teaching and related curriculum development that meet learner needs;
  • Assessing learners' progress in College or on work experience and devising assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets;
  • The main focus on planning, delivery and assessment of practical skills in the areas of fitting, milling and turning at Level 2 and Level 3.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in teaching CAD and mechanical engineering including maths and science;
  • Be enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated with Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2;
  • You must have a Level 3/4 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent);
  • Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 2 years of appointment;
  • Relevant assessment qualifications - IQA/A1/V1 and evidence of current Continuous Professional Development;
  • It would be of benefit if you held a Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education/ PGCE/Bachelor of Education (this is desirable).
