Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of SEND Support in delivering the college’s inclusion strategy while coordinating high-quality learning support across the college.
- Play a key role in driving continuous improvement, ensuring that all learners with additional needs, with or without an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), are fully supported to achieve their potential.
- Lead on key areas including EHCP transition and specialist provision such as Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to maintain effective, inclusive and high-quality support.
- Lead and coordinate the Learning Support Service, ensuring effective staff deployment, strong partnership working and compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and Education Inspection Framework.
- Manage Learning Support and High Needs funding, ensuring value for money while shaping staffing arrangements that maximise learner outcomes and access to excellent learning support.
Qualifications:
- Experienced SEND professional with strong SEND experience.
- Secure understanding of EHCP processes, funding and legislation as well as support functions.
- Leadership skills to oversee services and initiatives, develop staff and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to ensure high-quality, inclusive support that enables learners with diverse needs to achieve their full potential.
