Are you an Engineer who is looking to pass on your skills and experience or currently an Engineering Assessor looking for your next move? Look no further as we are looking for a full-time permanent Assessor (Apprentice Skills Coach) in Engineering. You must have an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering and be from a mechanical engineering background. You must have hands-on experience and/or working knowledge of both traditional and CNC machining, as well as a sound understanding of inspection and quality control and office-based engineering roles. If you do, we will provide the qualifications and skills needed to assessors/verify if you need them.
This role would suit an engineer who has gained experience in a technical support role utilising various IT systems.

What you will need:
You will need to provide the relevant occupational experience and we will provide the assessing and verifying qualifications. You will need to be enthusiastic, resilient, and a highly motivated individual with Literacy/Numeracy to at least Level 2, and NVQ Level 3 in Engineering. We will put you through your Assessor qualifications (A1, TAQA, D32) and give you the skills you need to support the training needs of learners through a range of methodologies.

You will deliver training, assessing, and quality assuring work-based learning programmes, in line with the college's Apprenticeship Strategy. Working towards the growth of high-quality, employer-focused provision that maximises the opportunities for learners to achieve and progress into sustained employment.
As a highly engaged and motivated Assessor (Apprentice Skills Coach), you will have a genuine desire to improve the life chances of our learners whilst being a strong experienced team player with excellent communication skills.
