A&E Receptionist – Band 2
37.5 hours per week – Permanent
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our A&E reception team. Applicants should be excellent communicators with good telephone skills, able to deal with the general public daily, and have a positive approach to customer care.
The role involves providing reception support to the clinical team within the A&E Department. Applicants must have good IT skills, work well independently and as part of a team. Flexibility is essential as the service operates 24/7, requiring shifts that include days, evenings, and nights.
As an A&E Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring they receive excellent customer service whether in person or via telephone. You will handle a range of enquiries professionally and courteously, providing clerical support to the A&E Department teams. You will work within the hospital, often unsupervised, to ensure the smooth operation of reception services across all desks within A&E and Same Day Emergency Care.
