Radiographer – Band 5/6
37.5 hours per week – Permanent
Our Radiology department seeks an enthusiastic Radiographer looking to develop their career in a supportive environment. We offer a 6-month preceptorship scheme for new starters with support from a dedicated mentor and line manager. We have a well-established reputation as a warm, welcoming department with a strong team ethic. Experienced band 5\’s are able to take advantage of the band 6 link grade programme.
We have a robust CPD schedule including special interest groups, and modality specific meetings. All staff are given the opportunity to spend up to one week per year in a modality of their choice.

We have Advanced/Specialist Practice in all modalities.
Our current working pattern is 7am-12am Monday to Friday on a 16-week rolling rota with on-call at the weekends.
Responsibilities
- To carry out all radiographic duties in all sections, working as a member of the team of the Department of Radiology.
- To supervise junior members of staff
- To manage patient priority as appropriate and respond to Trust targets
- To be proficient in all aspects of radiography
- To contribute effectively to the delivery of an efficient and responsive Radiology Service.
- The hours of work will be in accordance with service needs over a 24/7 period.
- There is commitment to on-call with this post, and within the very near future, participation in a shift system.
