The predicted salary is between 20000 - 30000 £ per year.
Domestic services play an important role in ensuring that all areas in our hospital are clean and safe for our staff to care for our patients. Their duties include:
- Dusting
- Using spray/liquid cleaners
- Cleaning hard floors with mops or electric floor cleaners
- Using vacuum cleaners or carpet cleaners
- Cleaning toilet and bathroom areas
Domestics are responsible for routine cleaning to be done on a daily and/or weekly basis as well as any emergencies such as spills. They also carry out regular, planned deep cleaning on a monthly or annual basis.
Domestics work in both non-clinical (offices) and clinical (wards/clinics) areas within the hospital based on Fountain Street. Good communication skills and a helpful & polite manner when interacting with patients & relatives are essential. It is important to show dignity and respect to our staff and patients when cleaning on the wards and clinics.

Please note that whilst the trust does offer sponsorship, this role is unfortunately not eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Health and Care Worker visa route. This is due to the position not meeting the minimum salary threshold of £25,000 per annum and/or the required skill level set by UK Visas and Immigration.
