THE ROLE
We’re looking for a motivated and organised Communications Manager to help shape and deliver communications for Talon and Grand Visual, strengthening brand reputation, driving high-quality earned media coverage and supporting clear, engaging internal communications across the business.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Working closely with the Head of Communications & Marketing, the role will help position the business as a leading voice in OOH and the wider media and advertising landscape through proactive storytelling, thought leadership, strong media relationships and consistent messaging across internal and external channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Internal comms
- Develop and manage internal messaging to support business priorities, ensuring consistency with external positioning and brand narrative.
- Translate updates and change initiatives into clear, compelling communications for employees, ensuring clarity and transparency during periods of transformation.
- Support employee engagement by creating content that reinforces company culture, values and purpose.
- Collaborate with HR, and regional/global teams to ensure a joined up approach to employee communications.
- PR strategy & planning
- Support the development and execution of the overall PR and communications strategy for Talon and Grand Visual, aligning with the wider Global PR and communications strategy, as well as the UK business and commercial objectives.
- Own day to day delivery of PR plans, ensuring consistent messaging across all outputs.
- Identify opportunities to elevate the agency’s profile within the OOH industry, with a heightened focus on those outside the OOH within the wider media and creative landscape.
- Contribute to integrated campaigns alongside marketing, strategy and effectiveness teams.
- Media relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists across trade.
- Proactively secure high quality earned media coverage, including features, interviews, opinion pieces and news stories.
- Manage media enquiries and act as a key contact for press.
- Draft and distribute press materials, including press releases, comments, long form thought leadership, Q&As and briefing documents.
- Thought leadership and content
- Develop compelling thought leadership angles for senior spokespeople, informed by industry trends, data and insights to position Talon and Grand Visual as the authority in OOH.
- Manage forward features planning and editorial calendars.
- Ensure consistent tone of voice and messaging across all PR outputs.
- Support on key award entries and industry recognition programmes.
- Spokesperson management
- Support senior stakeholders with media engagement opportunities.
- Prepare briefing materials and talking points for interviews, events and speaking opportunities.
- Assist with providing media training support where needed.
- Monitoring & reporting
- Monitor media coverage, industry trends and competitor activity.
- Evaluate PR performance against objectives, providing regular reporting and insights.
