The R&D Analyst role at Talogy contributes to the development and maintenance of content within Talogy products and solutions, as well as key projects on the global R&D roadmap. They utilize a broad knowledge of I/O psychology principles to create psychometric content for multiple initiatives, typically focusing within a specific practice area, product line or vertical.

This is a full-time permanent role, with flexible hours around core office availability Monday to Friday. The role can be performed remotely, with occasional travel for meetings, events and workshops.

Core Skills and Responsibilities

The daily impact of this role is characterized by (though not limited to) the following core skills and tasks:

  • Define and contribute to ongoing product maintenance and enhancement for products within area of focus (product line, vertical, etc.).
  • Collaborate across teams and functions to provide SME guidance about how tools should be built, implemented, and marketed.
  • Support with the specification, implementation and testing of new assessment solutions.
  • Contribute to a broad array of projects in several different roles related to the content development cycle.
  • Design and conduct complex psychometric analyses and research to meet project requirements.
  • Support with research for publication/conference presentation; assist marketing and sales enablement through the development of technical and research-based collateral.
Background Requirements and Preferred Experience

The following qualifications and experiences are considered foundational requirements for this role:

  • Previous experience in R&D psychology roles or related functions.
  • Qualification in I/O, occupational or organizational/business psychology to a higher education level such as a Master’s degree, PhD (ABD), chartership (CPsychol), or equivalent educational level preferred, e.g. ABP Senior Business Psychologist qualification.
  • Knowledge of core psychometric principles and R&D methodologies, e.g. item response theory (IRT), item-type development, validation, etc.
  • Experience of developing psychometric assessment content, e.g. personality, ability or situational judgement test (SJT) content, and collaborating with software or engineering teams for implementation on technology platforms.
  • Experience working with large or complex datasets and proficiency in R or other statistical analysis tools.
