THE COMPANY
A much-loved Manchester-based home textiles design studio. They hardly ever recruit but have a vacancy available due to one of their designers taking a break for maternity leave. They design both digitally and through hand-painting and are one of only a few studios that encourages taking time to explore and handpaint. They are leaders in their industry and supply a range of high street accounts across adults, teens, kids and nursery textiles. Free onsite parking and a very generous hybrid working split.
THE ROLE
- Creating original print designs for bedding ranges across multiple retailer accounts
- Translating macro trends into commercially viable designs
- Handpainting and drawing original designs for adult, teen, kids and nursery bedding
- Using AVA to produce repeats, colour separations, and print files
- Guiding junior designers and giving constructive feedback when needed
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in home textiles design
- A flair for hand painting and creating original artwork
- AVA skills
- A portfolio that shows a wide variety of handwriting
- Confidence in trend research and the ability to lead your own creative direction
- Driving license and access to a car
