We are seeking an enthusiastic school, college or university leaver to join as a trainee Machinery & Business Asset Valuer / Surveyor. The successful candidate must be hard working, have excellent organisational abilities to balance different tasks to ensure deadlines are met, possess strong communication skills, have a good working knowledge of Microsoft software, and be confident to work independently as well as part of a team. A full driving license would be an advantage; however, it is not essential in the early stages.

Initially (whilst learning/training), the role will involve assisting fellow valuers as required, while also handling general office duties, including:

  • Answering the phone
  • Emailing clients
  • Performing general administrative tasks

Development will see the role progress to include:

  • Corresponding with clients
  • Assisting with asset/plant & machinery inspections/site surveys
  • Assisting with the preparation of professional valuation reports
  • Collating and analysing comparable evidence
  • Assisting with the sale of assets, including preparation, photographing, advertising & marketing

Based at our Manchester office, the candidate must be flexible and prepared to travel throughout the UK as required to undertake inspections as the role progresses. Ongoing training will be provided, and for the right candidate, career progression can lead to becoming a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
