Location: Leominster, HR6 0QB.

Hours: 0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday with rota for Saturday AM.

This role is a workshop supervisor leading the development of the department, with 70% time on the tools and 30% managing the team.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with customers for installation, maintenance and diagnostics of John Deere and other franchised machinery.
  • Deal with customers on the phone and face to face, helping them keep machinery in A1 condition by recommending aftermarket service and parts.
  • Build and manage a team, handling day‑to‑day management duties.
  • Operate primarily on UTVs, ATVs, ride‑on lawn mowers and golf machinery – applying small petrol and diesel engine fault‑finding skills.
  • Work on the tools approximately 70% of the time; manage the department 30% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check.
  • Experience working on homeowner and garden machinery.
  • Basic IT competency.
  • Previous experience managing a team is desirable.
  • Knowledge of petrol and diesel small engine fault finding.
