Engineering Technician Apprenticeship - Agricultural. Locations: Kemble, Leominster and Narberth. If you are interested in how things are taken apart and put back together and want to learn vocationally with class leading support from a recognisable brand, this could be the right opportunity.

Programme and Focus

Tallis Amos is offering you the chance of a John Deere apprenticeship, providing a world-class education in mechanical engineering with structured prospects for future career development within our company. The apprenticeship is a three-year course leading to a John Deere Diploma equivalent to NVQ/A Level. The programmes will develop your skills in a wide range of technical areas, with a focus on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems within John Deere, and the AG Tech programme focusing on main line agricultural machinery.

Responsibilities and Learning

You will be mentored by a time-served engineer who will support your development and guide you with best practice in on-the-job situational learning. You will spend time away each year at the John Deere UK training centre in Saxondale, Nottinghamshire, learning the theory of your role and returning to the depot to apply this knowledge with your mentor.

Entry Requirements

  • A grade 4/C or above in Maths and English
  • Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test
  • Registration with the Apprenticeship Finder website as part of your application

The apprenticeship is run in line with ProVQ, John Deere’s structured learning and assessment partner, which provides support services to help you achieve the highest standard of work for our customers.
