We are recruiting an experienced Sea Freight Export Operator to join an established freight forwarding business in Romford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong ocean export experience who can confidently manage shipments from initial booking through to final destination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sea freight export shipments from start to finish
- Handle LCL movements
- Make bookings with shipping lines and overseas agents
- Prepare bills of lading and export documentation
- Monitor vessel schedules, cut-off times and shipment deadlines
- Arrange collections and coordinate deliveries to port
- Complete or coordinate customs documentation and export clearances
- Provide customers with regular shipment updates
- Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, customers and overseas partners
- Resolve operational issues efficiently
- Produce quotations and manage shipment costs
- Ensure files are completed accurately and invoiced promptly
