A growing multimodal logistics provider specialising in Ocean Freight, Air Freight, European Road Freight, and Worldwide Shipping Solutions is looking for an experienced Multimodal Operations Coordinator to join the expanding freight team.
The successful candidate will manage freight shipments from booking through to final delivery, ensuring customers receive a professional and proactive service throughout the shipment lifecycle. This role is ideal for somebody with previous freight forwarding experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Ocean, Air, and European Road freight shipments
- Arrange collections and deliveries
- Monitor shipments and provide customer updates
- Handle customs and shipping documentation
- Resolve operational issues and delays
- Ensure all systems are updated accurately
- Work closely with the freight desk manager and sales team
- Manage freight inbox enquiries
- Support booking administration
- Update internal systems accurately
- Assist with invoicing and operational administration
- Liaise with customers, carriers, and internal teams
- Previous freight forwarding or logistics experience
- Strong understanding of multimodal freight operations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments
- Customs knowledge beneficial
- Good attention to detail
- Competent with Microsoft Office and email systems
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Competitive salary up to £31,000 OTE
