About Us

Tallgrass Recruitment is a growing specialist recruitment agency with an established presence within the Freight & Logistics sector. Due to continued growth, we are launching a dedicated Construction division and are looking for an ambitious Recruitment Consultant to build and develop a Contract Construction desk from the ground up.

This is a genuine opportunity for an experienced recruiter to create their own market, build long-term client relationships, and significantly increase their earnings through our uncapped commission structure.

The Role

As a Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for developing a profitable Contract Construction desk across the UK. You will focus on supplying temporary and contract workers into construction contractors, house builders, developers, and construction companies. This is a 360 recruitment role where you will have full responsibility for business development, client management, candidate sourcing, and account growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a Contract Construction recruitment desk.
  • Win new business through proactive sales calls, meetings and networking.
  • Build relationships with construction contractors, developers and new home builders across the UK.
  • Source, interview and place construction professionals into temporary and contract positions.
  • Negotiate rates, terms and service agreements with clients.
  • Manage existing client accounts and maximise opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of candidates and vacancies.
  • Work closely with management to develop the long-term strategy of the Construction division.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales and placement targets.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous recruitment experience (Construction recruitment preferred).
  • Strong business development and sales skills.
  • A driven, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and candidates.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
