We are recruiting experienced Import and Export Operators to join a busy freight-forwarding operation in Romford. Candidates with experience across Ocean, Air or Road Freight will be considered. You do not need experience in all three modes, but you must have previous import or export experience within a freight-forwarding environment.
The role:
- Managing import or export shipments from booking through to final delivery
- Coordinating Ocean, Air or European Road Freight movements
- Preparing and checking shipping and customs documentation
- Completing or supporting customs declarations through CDS
- Managing FCL, LCL or groupage shipments
- Liaising with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, hauliers and suppliers
- Monitoring shipments and providing customers with regular updates
- Arranging collections and deliveries
- Resolving delays, customs queries and operational issues
- Maintaining accurate shipment records and processing invoices
- Delivering excellent customer service throughout the shipment process
What we are looking for:
- Previous import or export experience within freight forwarding
