My client is looking to add to their growing team in Stockport by hiring a Deep-Sea Export Operator. If you have experience in Ocean Export managing customs documentation for sea freight, I want to hear from you! Be part of a dynamic customs team, where you’ll ensure smooth clearance of consignments, collaborate with customers and suppliers, and stay compliant with international customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Mainly FCL’s with some LCL and some air.
- Speaking to customers / providing quotes / booking jobs.
- Liaising with overseas agents, tracking shipments.
- Customs clearance, booking deliveries with shipping lines and/or merchant hauliers, invoicing out duty / VAT.
- Basically, the entire import process from start to finish.
- At least 3+ years of experience in customs, with expertise in Ocean Exports.
- Deep sea imports are the main transport mode along with LCL too.
- Airfreight would be advantageous.
- Experience with CDS, Descartes, and Destin8/CNS/Cargo wise is preferred.
- Excellent communication with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- A proactive, motivated, and positive attitude.
