Air Import Operator South Manchester Job Purpose My client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Air Import Coordinator to join their dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of air freight import shipments, from quotation through to delivery and invoicing, ensuring a high level of customer service and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities * Provide competitive and accurate quotes to customers for air import shipments * Liaise with overseas partners to place bookings and coordinate shipments * Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, keeping them updated throughout the process * Manage all required import documentation and ensure compliance with regulations * Arrange customs clearance with appointed agents, ensuring all entries are completed accurately and on time * Coordinate final mile deliveries with shipping lines and hauliers * Prepare and issue invoices promptly and accurately Requirements * Previous experience in air freight forwarding and / or import logistics * Strong understanding of air import processes and documentation * Excellent communication and customer service skills * High attention to detail and strong organisational skills * Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines * Competency in Microsoft Office; experience with freight forwarding systems desirable Benefits * Workplace pension scheme (eligible after completion of probation) * 25 days holiday (increasing to 28 days from 1st January 2026) * 2 additional wellbeing days per year * Free on-site parking * Access to EV charging points * Bonus scheme after 12 months of employment If you are passionate about delivering excellent service and enjoy working in a fast-paced logistics environment, we would love to hear from you
