My client is seeking an experienced Air Export Operator to join a busy and growing freight forwarding team. This role is responsible for managing air export shipments from booking through to final departure, ensuring excellent customer service and full compliance with industry regulations.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers, overseas agents, airlines, and internal departments to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of cargo worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage air export shipments from origin to destination.
- Arrange bookings with airlines and overseas partners.
- Prepare and process all export documentation, including air waybills and customs paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, aviation security requirements, and company procedures.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, carriers, and overseas agents regarding shipment status and requirements.
- Monitor shipments and proactively resolve any operational issues.
- Calculate and process shipment costs, invoicing, and job costing.
- Maintain accurate records within the freight management system.
- Provide high levels of customer service and regular shipment updates.
- Previous experience within air export freight forwarding is essential.
- Strong knowledge of air freight procedures and export documentation.
- Experience liaising with overseas agents and international partners.
- Understanding of customs procedures and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Competitive salary up to £35,000 DOE.

- Standard working hours 9-5.30pm - 1 hour lunch - NO Hybrid / Work from home options this is an office based role.
