Overview
TalkTalk is a challenger brand. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Product Designer to disrupt and innovate by designing new and unique products and services. You’ll be part of an empowered product team, responsible for the TalkTalk website user experience across all interactions. We’re looking for a Product Designer who has past experience of UX and UI, Research, Service Design and Insight and Analytics. Working in partnership with a Product Owner and Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the full design process from Discovery through to Delivery. You’ll embed the design process in your squad, champion the product and achieve the most valuable design across Customer, Commercial and Tech. You’ll be a design leader, natural collaborator and have proven experience of designing and continually improving websites.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- A portfolio is required
- Experience of designing web products and services including full end-to-end journeys
- Evidence of solving complex design problems and implementing brilliant solutions
- Experience of storytelling, compelling product narratives and visually appealing presentations to communicate your design ideas and influence stakeholders
- Collaboration skills and ability to work well with engineers, product managers, insights / analytics and other key stakeholders
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in product design. Desire to continually improve and find ways of doing things better
- Experience of working with a product manager to feed the product backlog with features that add value
- Design systems, systems thinking and ability to think outside of one time use cases is required
- Significant knowledge of accessibility and inclusion related to design
- Able to work well with engineers, create effective design documentation and ship product increments
- Facilitate Discovery sessions including design thinking workshops and ideation sessions to foster creativity and generate innovative / disruptive ideas
- Validate product concepts through experimentation and iterative testing, gathering feedback from customers and stakeholders
- Advocate for the voice of the customer and ensure design decisions are driven by customer insights and data
- Ability to plan and estimate the size of design work
- Ensure our products and services align with our brand identity
- Commercial acumen – understanding of customers, market, able to align design process to business outcomes
- Part of the Design Leadership team and contribute to a positive, high-performing team. Responsible to line management of 2-3 designers, supporting them with their development
