As Senior Corporate Communications Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of communications strategies that protect and promote TalkTalk’s reputation, both internally and externally. You will be part of a dynamic communications team, driving proactive media outreach to support our shift from telco to techco, and championing colleague engagement. You will also play a key role in building relationships with local communities and overseeing our charity of the year scheme.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee TalkTalk’s corporate communications, focused on external communications and colleague communications.
- Drive innovation in communications, exploring new formats and channels to engage colleagues, media, and communities.
- Manage media relations, ensuring effective management of media enquiries, press releases, and issues management, as well as management of the communications calendar to ensure alignment.
- Develop and execute proactive strategies to promote TalkTalk’s transformation, innovation, and agility, using an array of tactics including media management and coaching and profiling senior executives.
- Lead the development and delivery of communications strategies that enhance our reputation in the market and drive colleague engagement, including delivering colleague value proposition strategies which help to boost TalkTalk’s reputation with prospective colleagues.
- Build and nurture relationships with journalists, local media, and community leaders, working closely with colleagues in the Brand & Digital Media team.
- Help to deliver the creation of high-quality content for internal and external channels, ensuring alignment with brand and strategy.
- Champion and manage the charity of the year scheme, working with colleague teams and external partners to deliver meaningful community engagement.
- Advise and support senior leaders on media and colleague communications.
- Mentor and develop junior communications professionals, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
- Monitor media, industry trends, and internal feedback to ensure communication remains relevant and effective.
- Analyse and report on the effectiveness of communications campaigns, using insights to drive improvements.

- In-depth understanding of communications, PR, and media relations best practices.
- Knowledge of internal engagement strategies and the importance of organisational culture.
- Awareness of community engagement, local partnerships, and charity initiatives.

- Experience in a fast-paced, consumer-facing environment, ideally during periods of transformation.
- Proven track record of delivering successful colleague engagement, community, or charity programmes.
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior communications professionals.
