The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of HR/ Senior Business Partner to join our People Leadership Team, on a fixed term basis for a period of up to 12 months. Reporting into our Chief People Officer, you will provide strategic HR partnering for a key area of our business, delivering critical people programmes and solutions that help transform our culture and future capabilities. You will work across a generalist arena to help shape the future of our organisation, bringing our vision to life and ensure we nurture brilliant colleague experiences along the way.

It goes without saying you will be a strategic thinker with strong stakeholder management skills that you can leverage to play a key role in helping shape the future of our organisation and creating a high performance, agile, inclusive and engaged workforce. You will be adept at operating with teams to the most senior levels, coaching and supporting in areas such as workforce planning, talent management, diversity and inclusion and organisational change, within a fast paced, agile and matrix environment. You will be innovative and highly resilient with the drive and personal energy to tackle challenging opportunities and difficult decisions and have operated in a similar, fast paced, dynamic consumer services technology led environment.

This is what the day to day will look like:

  • Working with the operations team to ensure a ‘true’ partnering experience for senior leaders and their management teams
  • Providing leaders and managers with support and guidance in a wide range of areas, including organisational design & problem solving, behavioural change, change management, colleague development and performance management
  • Supporting the annual People activities within the team including, performance reviews, salary reviews, engagement survey and training analysis
  • Coaching and developing senior leadership to help them reach their potential as well as that of their teams
  • Working with internal Talent & Resourcing teams to assist with the implementation of the talent agenda and the support of people development initiatives and resourcing activities
  • Senior recruitment of director roles and final stage of Head of level
  • Leading on a variety of people work streams within HR projects, providing HR subject matter expertise, advice and guidance including embedding our values and behaviours, workforce planning, and organisational change such as Redundancy and TUPE
  • Ensuring ENPS is on the agenda and is a key focus for the leadership teams to drive improvement of engagement across TalkTalk

Experience

  • We are looking for a person with significant experience of partnering with Senior Leadership/CXO and a proven ability to manage organisational change and restructures.
  • The ideal candidate will be a key influencer with excellent stakeholder management and relationship development skills. We are looking for a Partner who can immediately impact and instil confidence with key business stakeholders. This person will be highly resilient with drive and personal energy to tackle challenging opportunities and difficult decisions.
  • We are looking for people with a passion for managing and recognising talent and who have experience of leading multi-dimensional HR programmes across different business areas.
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they have delivered in a similar, fast paced, dynamic environment. Experience of worked within a matrix organisation and delivering strategic programmes would be highly beneficial.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • CIPD qualified (level 7)
