The Role
Reporting into the Mid-Market Sales Manager, the SME Account Manager is responsible for retaining and growing revenue alongside attracting new business, ensuring all targets are met. You will be directly responsible for optimising sales opportunities, selling the full TalkTalk Business portfolio and fostering strong relationships with your clients. You will operate within accounts from C-level down, leveraging and developing relationships to develop wallet share and win new business through referrals or lead generation.
What you will do
- Build & maintain effective long-term relationships with a defined customer base to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with all key and senior decision makers and influencers.
- Ensure you are in regular contact with your account base, conducting regular status & strategy meetings and are able to develop relationships “high & wide” within the account operating at C-level down.
- Achieve set revenue targets by increasing spend per account and mitigating any churn risks.
- Achieve the set Total Contract Value target by selling the whole TalkTalk portfolio via new business as well as cross & up-selling to existing customers.
- Convert leads into opportunities as well as securing referrals and closing a significant proportion of sales from your pipeline.
- Serving as the primary interface for all customer interactions regarding requirements and projects, creating demand for our products by raising your profile within our customers' organisations, becoming a trusted advisor for them.
- Develop & maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g. Commercial, Pre-Sales, Bid Management, Customer Services, Operations, Assurance, Management etc), following all correct processes and adhering to set procedures & compliance.
- Achievement of set KPIs which cover off activity and productivity and are subject to change but are monitored on a regular basis.
Skills and experience we are looking for
- Experience within the Telecommunication industry and Account Management.
- A strong commercial acumen and an understanding of revenue forecasting and attrition management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to customers and internal stakeholders alike.
- A solid understanding of the technology within our portfolio is preferred e.g. SD WAN, Cisco Meraki, hosted telephony solutions etc.
