The Role The Senior Project Manager is a leading role within the Transformation function, taking ownership and accountability of larger, more complex deliveries. You will have increased responsibility for either leading strategic internal business change, or delivering high profile projects to external customers, utilising internal and external resources. You will oversee the planning, execution and completion of projects, and leverage your skills across delivery, senior stakeholder management, commercial and strategic awareness, and leadership to enable the Business Unit to meet its objectives. You will be expected to manage project budgets and ensure all projects have the appropriate resource allocated to deliver its objectives. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and competing work priorities. The Team The Senior Project Manager role will sit in the Transformation department alongside Business Analysis and PMO and will report directly into the Head of Transformation. Together we take ownership of TalkTalk Business Direct’s change capability, leading transformation and enabling delivery against our bold five-year plan. Responsibilities Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of larger scaled, more complex projects. Oversee the delivery of those projects key to TalkTalk Business Direct’s strategic vision, from initiation to completion and developing end-to-end project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines and resource requirements. Establish and maintain the overall project plan, incorporating key milestones and work packages, ensuring clear accountability and ownership across the stakeholder group. Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among team members. Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including Director level Identify and pro-actively manage risks, issues and dependencies, directing accountability and escalating as appropriate. Develop resolutions to problems, project changes and resource constraints. Monitor and uphold project quality standards, ensuring deliverables meet predefined criteria. Set up and manage appropriate project governance, including Steer Cos and reporting. Demonstrable leadership skills through leading a matrix or virtual project team of business SMEs. Engage project stakeholders through effective communication and regular reporting. Establish and execute project comms plan; overall reporting of progress, issuance of project documentation, key messaging, pre/post-implementation comms. Identify and track project success factors, operational KPIs, and benefits realisation. Ensure that the individual projects meet business requirements and are delivered to time, budget and quality. Conduct end project evaluation to assess how well the project was managed and ensure lessons learnt are factored into future projects. Experience and skills required Strong experience of delivering significant, complex items utilising waterfall and/or Agile methodologies as the situation demands Prince 2, APM or Agile Qualifications 3rd party vendor management Excellent interpersonal and communications skills Other skills/experience that would be beneficial Good understanding of ITIL methodologies Experience with Operational Readiness Telco specific industry and product knowledge/experience How you will work At TalkTalk Business we understand the importance of flexibility and connection in the workplace.
