WHAT YOU'LL DO The Financial Analyst supports our Commercial Operations team by managing financial data, overseeing budgets and forecasts, identifying trends, and driving process improvements that reduce waste and increase efficiency. This role partners with commercial teams to deliver insights that enhance decision-making, with a focus on revenue, costs, and profitability to fuel business growth. Serving as a bridge between finance and business, the Financial Analyst leverages Excel, financial modeling, and reporting tools to turn complex data into actionable strategies for leadership. Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating financial data, preparing forecasts, and contributing to strategic decisions that optimize overall business performance.
- Reports to: Sr. Manager, Demand Planning.
- Direct Reports: None.
- Location: Hybrid at our Preston, WA office 3+ days a week (preferred) OR Remote, work from home, should you live out of the area.
- Annual Bonus Potential: 7% - Eligibility is based on the company hitting annual financial targets.
- Base Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 (depending on experience).
Forecasting & Budgeting: Develops and analyzes expense/headcount forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans for all Commercial Operations units.
Cost Analytics: Evaluate inbound freight, tariffs, production costs, and packaging expenses.
Inventory Management: Analyze inventory levels, identify excess/obsolete stock, and optimize cash flow.
Variance Analysis: Monitor financial results, identify trends and variances, and recommend cost-saving actions.
Process Improvement and Operational Link: Links financial performance directly to operational efficiency and commercial strategies, ensuring data integrity and process improvement.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other finance teams to align goals and share best practices.
Reporting: Create robust financial reports and dashboards for management, often using tools like Power BI.
Development of business objectives: Align with company strategic pillars to meet our business and customers’ needs.
Challenges and inspires Rain Makers: Achieve business results and actively pursue strategic and operational objectives and improvements.
Food Safety: Ensure food safety, quality, and SQF practices are followed at all times, advising your immediate manager of any food safety and/or quality issues.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, inventory control or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling and analytics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.
- Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for special assignments.
