START DATE: BY START OF MAY 2025 (following induction training and clinic viewing/induction) You will see clients at our offices in Glasgow city centre. This is NOT an online role so please do not apply if you cannot work with clients at our clinic in Glasgow city centre.Talking EDs: Eating Disorders Support Service Scotland seek to recruit a suitable clinician – Counsellor/Psychotherapist/CBT Therapist to join our friendly, supportive team of psychotherapists, counsellors, mental health practitioners and dietitians. Adult Eating Disorders (over 16s) to provide in-person therapy appointments at our offices in Glasgow city centre. We have a demand for under 16s appointments too, so if you have extensive experience of working with under 16s with eating disorders and have the training and clinical experience to evidence this, please also get in touch. ** This role is not suitable for newly qualified therapists (0-3 years) or those with little or no experience or training in eating disorders and disordered eating. You will be asked to evidence your training, experience and CPD in eating disorders and disordered eating. your role is to provide therapy sessions with the clients we refer to you. This is a sessional self-employed role, however, you are very much part of a team and you will receive various benefits and discounts as part of your role. We regularly check in with Affiliates and you will have access to individual and group supervision, networking events, discounts, updates and more. This is a flexible role that you can fit around your other commitments. This role is NOT suitable for newly qualified clinicians (e.g. under 3 years) or for those who don\’t have substantial experience working directly with eating disorder clients/patients; Ability to work with adults over 16 years. Please state if you are apply for OVER 16s ONLY or CHILDREN AND ADULTS. We are a specialist service, so you must have significant experience working with individuals experiencing difficult relationships with food/eating disorders. Evidence of having attended training, workshops or CPD related to eating disorders and disordered eating; Preferable that you have worked with at least over 30 different individual clients experiencing eating disorders or problems with food and eating. Some additional experience in the fields of eating disorders is desirable (but not essential (e.g. group-work, training, campaigning, support work, research etc.); Be willing to work in-person at our offices in Glasgow ; some online and outdoor (if you have outdoor therapy training) may also be possible. Current professional and public indemnity insurance, PVG/Disclosure, membership of a counselling/health/psychotherapy/psychology professional body, current ICO Data Protection certificate and HMRC self-employment registration is required (or be willing to achieve these) Comfortable working environment within luxury, well-equipped consulting rooms in Glasgow city centre (for those applying for the in-person position) ~ Flexible working arrangements that you can fit around other commitments ~ Fee annual membership to the Eating Disorder Therapist Networking Group and the Therapist Tea and Talk Club (Scotland); ~ Discounted clinical supervision (should you wish to work with our supervisor); ~ Discounted therapy and consulting room hire for your own clients (should you wish to use our rooms for your own clients (i.Discounted dietitian and therapy appointments for yourself ~ Discounted places on our 6-weekly Eating Disorders and Body Image Supervision and Consult Group (global) ~ Access to 3-4 free support and supervision groups for affiliates, per year; access to 2 individual supervision check-ins per year ~ Opportunity to pick up extra client work; Free networking events; ~
