To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accountancy role, with practice experience essential
- AAT or ACCA qualified
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Highly organised with strong diary management and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive mindset with the confidence to work independently and support others
Within this position, you’ll also be:
- Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Managing and submitting VAT returns on behalf of clients
- Advising clients on tax planning, completing tax returns, and ensuring compliance
- Conducting audits and ensuring financial accuracy in line with accounting standards
- Providing advice and guidance on budgeting, forecasting, and investment matters
- Maintaining accurate and detailed financial records for clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as their go-to adviser
- Preparing and delivering management information reports to support client decision-making
- Supporting or supervising junior team members where needed
