Our client, a very reputable firm, are looking to appoint a Legal Cashier for their office based in Walsall. You will be managing the day to day running of the client office accounts. If you have strong accounts knowledge and have worked within the legal sector, then this could be the perfect role for you!

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • 2-3 years’ experience within a Legal Cashier role
  • Experience of working within the Legal Sector
  • Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational skills
  • High attention to detail

Within this position, you’ll also be:

  • Taking receipts from clients either on site or over the telephone
  • Issuing of receipts
  • Checking online bank portal for payments received and allocating to the client ledgers
  • Preparing the daily banking and taking it to the bank to pay in
  • Posting items to ledgers – receipts and payments
  • Preparing priority BACS payments on the online bank portal
  • Processing cheque requests through case management system
  • Preparing breakdowns of time client ledgers
  • Checking completion statements, processing clients’ invoices
  • Checking and processing purchase ledger invoices
