We're working with a well-established regional law firm with a strong reputation across the Midlands, who are looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team at their Worcester office. The Role
As Legal Secretary, you'll provide high-quality support to a Partner and the wider team, assisting with a full range of secretarial and administrative duties. You'll play a key role in ensuring files are managed efficiently and clients receive an excellent level of service at every stage of their matter.
To be considered for the role, you'll require the following essentials:
- Previous experience in a legal secretarial role
- Strong audio typing and dictation experience
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and DocuSign
- Experience using the Land Registry portal and drafting/submitting forms
- Experience carrying out electronic property searches
- Experience preparing and submitting SDLT applications via the HMRC portal
- The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
Within this position, you'll also be:
- Drafting correspondence and documents using audio typing and dictation
- Making amendments to documents from dictated or handwritten instructions
- Managing files from opening through to closure, including storage and retrieval
- Maintaining diaries, arranging appointments and handling incoming calls
- Engaging with clients in a professional and friendly manner
- Providing a consistently high standard of client care
- Supporting fee earners with general administrative tasks as required
Salary & Benefits
- Β£25,000 per annum DOE
- 22 days holiday rising to 25 days (plus additional Christmas closure days and bank holidays)
