We’re working with a long-standing electrical engineering firm in Loughborough who are looking to grow their team with the addition of an experienced Electrical Fitter & Wireman. If you’re confident working with low voltage switchgear and enjoy hands-on electrical assembly work, this could be the ideal next step.

This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, with full-time hours and plenty of overtime available including optional Saturday mornings. You’ll be joining a small, supportive team where your skills and initiative will be truly valued.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • Previous experience in electrical fitting, wiring or mechanical assembly
  • Strong attention to detail and a hands-on, practical mindset
  • Confident working independently and within a small team
  • Willingness to work overtime during the week and on Saturday mornings
  • A full, clean UK driving licence (essential for site work and van use)

Within this position, you’ll also be:

  • Assembling and wiring low voltage switchgear panels — both individually and as part of a team
  • Reading and working from basic diagrams and instructions
  • Identifying and solving issues during the build process
  • Using a range of hand tools confidently and safely
  • Following strict health & safety procedures in all working environments
  • Occasionally travelling to customer sites around the UK — driving a company van as needed
  • Willingness to stay overnight if working away
