Are you an experienced CNC Miller who can program, set, and operate using Heidenhain controls? We\’re looking for a skilled CNC Miller Programmer to join a busy, precision-focused manufacturing environment producing complex, high-quality components for a range of industries.
If you\’re a detail-oriented machinist with a strong background in programming and setting for Heidenhain-controlled CNC milling machines, this is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-equipped workshop, handling varied, challenging projects with quality at their core.
To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:
- Proven experience in CNC milling with Heidenhain control systems, including programming, setting, and operation
- Ability to write and edit CNC programs confidently and accurately
- Strong knowledge of 3-4 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds, feeds, and geometric tolerances
- Apprenticeship-trained in CNC machining (or demonstrable 10+ years’ industry experience)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality systems (desirable)
- Ability to work independently with a proactive, quality-focused mindset
- Comfortable working in a busy, precision manufacturing shop environment
Within this position, you’ll also be:
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC Milling machines with Heidenhain control systems
- Machining complex parts and components in materials such as Aluminium, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium
- Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings to achieve precise tolerances
- Changing tooling and adjusting programs as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
- Inspecting components using measuring equipment (micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs, ring gauges)
- Handling larger components up to 2m in length with the use of lifting equipment provided
- Working to tight tolerances on medium- to large-volume batch work
