We're working with a well-established and growing independent accountancy practice based in the Kegworth area, looking to appoint a Semi Senior Accountant to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience who is keen to continue developing their technical skills while working with a varied portfolio of SME clients.
The Role You'll be responsible for supporting a diverse client base, working closely with senior members of the team and gaining exposure to all aspects of general practice.
Your responsibilities will include
- Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Preparing corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns
- Assisting with management accounts where required
- Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
- Liaising directly with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
- Supporting senior accountants and managers on a range of assignments
- Building strong client relationships through excellent service About You We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- A good understanding of accounts preparation
- Experience preparing VAT returns and tax computations
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- AAT qualified or studying ACCA (or qualified by experience) would be advantageous What's on Offer?
