As part of a well-planned and exciting growth phase, our client, a well-reputed and forward-thinking multi-service law firm, is currently looking to hire an experienced Assistant Head of Conveyancing to support their current HOD. This role will be based at their Oxfordshire office with travel required to their other branches.
This role is perfect for someone looking to take the next step in their career, providing strategic leadership while handling a diverse caseload. You’ll be assisting the Head of Conveyancing, leading a well-established team of conveyancing professionals, offering guidance and expertise, and playing a crucial role in shaping the future of the department.
To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:
- Qualified as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive with significant conveyancing experience
- A strong track record in handling a variety of residential conveyancing matters
- Proven experience in leading a team, mentoring junior staff, and driving performance
- The ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and external agencies
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively
- A client-focused approach with excellent communication skills
The ideal candidate will be ambitious, driven, and ready to take on a leadership role in a thriving, forward-thinking firm. You’ll have the full support of a friendly and knowledgeable team while making a real impact on the firm’s continued growth.
Within this position, you’ll also be:
- Supporting the Head of Department with the day-to-day management of the department
- Managing a varied caseload of conveyancing transactions, including residential matters
- Providing expert guidance and support to members of the Conveyancing Team
- Delivering the highest levels of client service on a day-to-day basis
- Building professional, credible relationships with clients and peers
- Collaborating with colleagues across departments to enhance service offerings
- Conduct performance and file reviews within the department
- Pro-active marketing and business development of the department, with the assistance of the Business Development Director
- Ensure departmental procedures are AML and Lexcel compliant
- Lead the department in the absence of the Head of Department
Salary & Working Hours
- Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, dependant on experience
- Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday
