Responsible for the commercial management of a section of a large project or on several smaller projects.\\n\\nDuties:\\n\\nAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:\\n\\n * Co-ordinating with, reporting to and implementing the reasonable directives of the Regional Director/Manager and the Commercial Manager (functional reporting).\\n\\n * Ensuring the timely submission of all relevant data required to monitor and analyse individual contract performance on a monthly and quarterly basis thereafter.\\n\\n * Liaising with Contracts Managers on the day-to-day commercial administration of contracts to ensure the financial success of construction operations and to keep the Commercial Manager appraised of all material events.\\n\\n * Preparing accurate draft sub-contracts and/or to approving such drafts as prepared by Commercial Team within the Region.\\n\\n * Supervising, mentoring and encouraging junior staff in their personal professional development.\\n\\n * Ensuring consultation with contracts management that all necessary notices and submissions required by the various forms of contract are given in an expedient manner.\\n\\n * Ensuring that main contract payment applications contain all necessary admeasure/additional cost claims and that the timely submission of detailed claims and final accounts is achieved.\\n\\n * Assisting Contracts Manager in the administration of sub-contractor performance so as to ensure the economic and timely completion of all sub-contractor liabilities written into the sub-contract.\\n\\n * Ensuring prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and subsequent cash collection together with the preparation of sub-contractor payments (strictly in accordance with specified payment terms).\\n\\n * Involvement in dispute avoidance/resolution.\\n\\n * Responsible for managing meetings.\\n\\n * Line management responsibility for members of the commercial team.\\n\\nRequirements:\\n\\nTo be considered for this Quantity Surveyor role you must meet the following criteria:\\n\\n-Previous employment as a QS / Quantity Surveyor, Project Surveyor, Senior QS or Commercial Manager.\\n\\n-Previous Main contractor employment.\\n\\n-Previous building sector project experience is essential.\\n\\n-Ideally previous Education / School sector project experience.\\n\\nRemuneration:\\n\\n-Competitive basic (dependent on experience)\\n\\n-Car Allowance\\n\\n-Pension\\n\\n-Healthcare\\n\\nTo be considered for this vacancy or to find out more information please apply now.\\nServices advertised by Talk Recruitment are that of an employment business and/or agency
