Role will be primarily office based with elements of home working available.

Role:
Seeking a talented and motivated I.T Technician to help manage and maintain this employer’s IT hardware, software, services, and servers.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase hardware as it is needed
- Set-up hardware and software for individuals as needed
- Help with day to day I.T enquiries from staff members
- Onboard new staff members to various internal/external projects
- Liaise with our external partner regarding infrastructure/network security
- Manage the tracking ofHardware& Softwareassigned to staff members via databaseand relevant systems
- Ensure disaster recovery plan is maintained and updated where needed
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Proactively maintain all service requests made via the IT Portal
- Liaise with I.T departments from external stake holders when required
- Work alongside thecurrent IT teamto help improve processes and identify solutions for infrastructure-based problems
- Help withtraining users around IT Securityand best computer usage practices
- Undertaking audit tasks to stay compliant with Technical Procedures
- Managing Backups & Restores of critical services
- Schedule Upgrades/Maintenance for systems with minimal disruption to users
- Talk users through a series of steps to help resolve issues

Based in the west midlands my client is a fast-growing gaming developer working on exciting AAA game projects with a long-term pipeline of work to fuel further growth of the business and your career.
REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this IT Technician role you must meet the following criteria:
-Perforce andGithubexperience ideal but not essential.
-Familiar with Windows Server/Ubuntu Server
-Experience with Azure VM’s
-Experience with Azure Dev Ops
-Experience with Azure Active Directory (Essential)
-Experience managing all aspects Microsoft 365 (Essential)
-Confidence taking apart a machine to diagnose issues
-A Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy
-Occasionally provide out of hours support
-The role entails many tasks that can only be performed from the studio, so will require the individual to work onsite primarily,however,they are happy to support remote working when business allows.
-Reside locally to the west midlands office to be able to attend the office at short notice to provide support for office I.T systems.
-Previous experience working as an I.T Technician,I.T Engineer, I.T Manager, I.T Support engineer or similar. Graduates also considered.
Desirable Skills
- Wireshark experience.
- OpenVPN experience.
- Azure experience.
- PowerShell experience.
- Sophos experience.
- Effectively able to prioritise tasks.
- Relevant IT qualifications (Comptia N+, AZ-104 etc) are desirable, but not necessary.
