Role Overview:
As BIM Coordinator you will provide a technical link between our Design Consultants, Digital Engineers, Bidding teams and Project teams to ensure a consistent approach to implementation of the project BIM Execution Plans in compliance with the Information Management Initiative.
Duties:
- Assisting BIM management with developing / maintaining Information Requirements, BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and checking for compliance with Project BIM standards.
- Lead information management activities, project level coordination and clash management in compliance with the BEP.
- Support the delivery of BIM requirements on projects and take an active involvement in the promotion, development, and delivery of BIM within the company and providing supply chain support as necessary.
- Be a hands-on BIM Coordinator involved in creating, coordinating, and federating BIM models and data and taking responsibility for the management of information in the Common Data Environment to deliver BIM outcomes/deliverables.
- Be updating project BIM documentation, troubleshooting, auditing the information.
- Support research and development in line with the company’s Digital Strategy.
Requirements:
To be considered for this BIM Coordinator / BIM Technician role you must meet the following criteria:
- Ideally expertise in the use of Autodesk software (Civil 3D, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud) and Common Data Environments.
- Knowledge of Buildings or Civil Engineering Sector.
- Ideally previous employment as a BIM Technician, BIM Designer, Revit Technician, BIM Manager, BIM Coordinator, Design Coordinator, D&B Coordinator, D&B Manager, Design Manager, Engineer, Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Technician, MEP Technician, Architectural Technician or Architect.
- Experience and knowledge in Building Information Modelling.
- Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).
- Previous employment with a main contractor, subcontractor or design consultancy.
Location: Northamptonshire office + site visits + some hybrid (1 -2 days Remote working)
