M&E Coordinator / M&E Manager / Building Services Coordinator/ Building Services Manager β Leading Tier 1 Main Contractor (Assistant or Intermediate Level both considered).
Sector: Building / Construction (Candidates considered from main contractors, M&E subcontractors and M&E Design Consultancy backgrounds considered).
Company: One of the UKβs largest privately owned building main contractors, circa Β£1 billion turnover, working across a range of sectors including Education, Commercial, Leisure, MOJ and Multi Storey Residential. Projects predominantly in Yorkshire and North Midlands.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to transfer their M&E experience into a main contractor environment or already experienced M&E Coordinator / Manager.
Role:
- Provide support to the Building Services Manager and aid the management and delivery of the Mechanical, Electrical and public health services installations of the schemes within the companies project portfolio.
- Responsible for assisting the management of each stage of the project delivery process, to ensure all works are fully coordinated and delivered in accordance with the contract programme.
- Attend site regularly to assist in the review of progress, programme quality and attend meetings to help with the preparation of stage reports for regular weekly/monthly updates within the business.
- Be flexible and adaptable within day-to-day duties, where punctual project attendance and site assistance is essential.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Building Sector.
- Previous employment as a M&E Co-ordinator, Building Services Coordinator, M&E Manager, Building Services Manager or Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Designer, Project Engineer, M&E Supervisor, M&E Project Manager or Graduate Engineer.
- Previous experience/knowledge in building sector projects such as Commercial, Mixed Use, Residential, Apartment Blocks, Student Accommodation, Hotels, Extra Care Housing, MOJ, Industrial, Education or Healthcare.
- Previous Main Contractor employment would be ideal but not essential; Engineering Consultancy and M&E Subcontractor backgrounds also considered.
- Good communication skills.
- Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).
