LOCATION:Worcestershire/ West Midlands (Remote Work alsoavailable)
This employer is situated on the outskirts of Birmingham, just a short distance from multiple supermarkets, coffee houses, food shops and more. A short 10 minute walk to the train station means that you are easily linked via Birmingham or Worcester, and parking is freely available both onsite and roadside. (Full time remote work is also available)
ROLE:
To help develop and deliver high quality character and environment animation for AAA Unreal 4 projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the art team to develop fully realised rigs and animations for use in large-scale game world environments and for a variety of organic character and mechanical models.
- Communicate and collaborate with the Art Director & Art Team to deliver animations that suit the specified style and purpose.
- Create, maintain and help improve animation pipelines across projects.
- Work within the specifications of the project and technology, keeping animation assets within a budget.
REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this Animator role you must meet the following criteria:
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Good practical understanding of Unreal Engine 4’s animation pipeline.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of motion, character and physical interactions within a game world.
- Professional level of animation production for games, preferably using Maya.
- Expert standard of skin weighting and rigging.
- Good understanding of mesh topology and how to best structure it to achieve clean deformation.
- Strong understanding skeletal mesh setup within Unreal Engine 4.
- Knowledge of Inverse Kinematics and physical simulation techniques.
