We are recruiting for private chef for a young family in Altrincham, south of Manchester. The position requires some knowledge of Arabic/North African cuisine (that can be anything from the ottolenghi vibe, through to more traditional dishes).

The family love fresh flavours and simple healthy food with the occasional sweet treat.

As there are two young children in the household, so experiance being around children and cooking for children is a big plus.

If you are looking to make the transition to Private Chef from Restaurant Chef, this may well be the role for you, as full training and support will be given.

Even if you already have some experience in working as a chef in private households, we will train you to provide the service the way the client prefers. The jobs is 5 days per week to cook (Monday to Friday) lunch and dinner (a split shift of approx 11am to 2pm and 5.30pm to 8.30pm).

This is a typical private chef role that includes discussing and finalising a menu, writing shopping lists, going shopping, preparing food, serving food and cleaning up the kitchen after serving.

We are looking for a chef who is good listeners (taking the order), flexible (timings may change) and a chef who are as comfortable melting into the background as they are talking to the client. Ability to interact with the client is very important. Being a private chef is about listening to the client’s wishes and asking for clarification when needed.

Great rate of pay and good working enviroment. Use of car to go shopping for client is reimbursed.

You need to work cleanly and tidily. You will need to understand the basics of nutrition: protein, fats and carbs. You will need to be happy and relaxed working in someone’s home. It is ESSENTIAL that you have your own vehicle for shopping.

You must already be in the U.K. and be legal to work in the U.K.
