We are looking for a Platform Engineer with strong experience in cloud infrastructure and container orchestration to join our client’s on-site team in London. This role focuses on building and maintaining scalable internal platforms that enable engineering teams to deploy, run, and monitor applications reliably. You will work closely with DevOps, software engineering, and security teams to design cloud-native infrastructure and improve developer productivity through automation and platform tooling.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and maintain cloud-native infrastructure supporting modern application platforms
  • Build and operate Kubernetes environments for containerised workloads
  • Develop internal platform services that simplify deployment, monitoring, and scaling for engineering teams
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code to manage cloud environments and ensure reproducibility
  • Improve CI/CD workflows to support faster and more reliable application delivery
  • Build observability solutions including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing
  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure applications follow cloud-native and microservices best practices
  • Ensure platform reliability, security, and performance across production environments

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
  • Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes clusters in production environments
  • Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or similar frameworks
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems and cloud networking fundamentals
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms

Nice to Have

  • Experience building internal developer platforms (IDPs)
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools such as ArgoCD
  • Knowledge of service meshes and API gateways
  • Experience implementing security best practices in cloud-native environments
  • Experience working in high-scale production environments
