We are looking for a Cloud Data Platform Engineer with strong experience in real-time data processing and analytics platforms to join our client’s on-site team in London. This role focuses on designing and scaling data platforms that support analytics, streaming, and machine learning workloads.

  • Design and build scalable data platforms for batch and real-time processing
  • Develop data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage
  • Implement streaming architectures for real-time analytics
  • Optimise performance and reliability of data systems
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to support ML workloads
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security
  • Monitor and maintain production data systems

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with data processing frameworks (e.g. Spark)
  • Knowledge of streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka or equivalent)
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Experience building scalable data pipelines

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data warehouses and lakehouse architectures
  • Familiarity with ML data pipelines
