Qualified Family Lawyer (Private Legal Aid) Full time or part-time hours considered

Location: Leamington Spa

Salary up to £45,000 per annum

What’s involved: The role will involve:

  • Managing a caseload of private law legal aid matters including children matters, financial issues following divorce or separation, and domestic violence cases
  • Advocacy and attendance at court
  • Liaising with clients and third parties, keeping everyone updated
  • Monitoring your own caseload including progression, compliance and billing
  • Ensuring efficient and accurate applications for and maintenance of Legal Aid Certificates

Who we’re looking for: Suitable candidates will have:

  • One year’s+ PQE within a similar role
  • Experience of running a Private Law Legal Aid caseload including, children, finance matters and domestic violence, including injunctions
  • A friendly, flexible and personable approach in the role
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision
  • Experience of requirements of Lexcel and Legal Aid Agency
  • A full UK driving licence
