About the Role

Are you a meticulous organiser with a passion for governance and a talent for supporting high-level decision-makers? We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Legal and Governance Team—supporting the Head of Legal and Governance and the Board and Committee Business Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of a dynamic organisation, working closely with our Board and Committees to ensure strong governance and smooth operations. If you thrive in complex environments and take pride in precision, we would love to hear from you.

Job Purpose

As a vital part of the governance function, you will help shape the way our organisation runs. From keeping our policies aligned with best practice and legislation to supporting senior leaders and non-executive directors, your work will underpin key decisions that impact the whole organisation. This is a role where the small details make a big difference—and where your ability to coordinate, communicate, and organise will be truly valued.

What you will be doing:

  • Partnering with the Head of Legal and Governance and the Board and Committee Business Manager to deliver high-quality company secretarial and governance services.
  • Supporting the organisation and delivery of Board and Committee meetings—including preparing agendas, taking minutes, circulating papers, and tracking actions.
  • Helping to maintain a clear and up-to-date register of policies and governance documents.
  • Monitoring audit actions and governance reports to ensure accountability and follow-through.
  • Supporting training arrangements for directors, coordinating calendars, and handling logistics for in-person meetings and events.
  • Providing dependable cover for governance activities when needed, ensuring business continuity.
  • Maintaining our internal tools and trackers—ensuring they are always current, accurate, and accessible.
  • Taking an active role in horizon scanning and supporting risk and assurance work across the team.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience providing secretarial or administrative support to Boards or Committees in a large, complex organisation.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with a calm, methodical approach.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • A team player with a genuine interest in governance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
