A field-based area sales management role covering a territory of South England and South Wales.
- 70% account management with an amount (30%) of new business.
- Selling a range of materials testing systems into academic institutions and end users with a host of engineering disciplines.
- A consultative, solutions focused sales process.
- Longer sales cycles (2 - 18+ months) and order values between £40k up to £500k+.
- The role involves an amount of travel across the territory, including Germany 2 - 3 times per year.
- Occasional overnights; typically, around 3 per month.
The Ideal Background for the Graduate Area Sales Manager:
- A recent graduate with a degree in a mathematics, physics, or engineering discipline OR a recent engineer from the Armed Forces.
- Actively seeking and excited about the prospect of a technical sales career.
- Professional and able to have complex technical conversations.
- Hold a full valid UK driving licence.
- Hold a valid passport.
- Have right to work in the UK as sponsorship can't be provided.
