This is a high-profile opportunity to lead the global retail category, shaping category strategy, developing strategic supplier partnerships, and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple markets. The role combines commercial leadership, procurement excellence, and category expertise to deliver long-term growth and transformation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a £100m+ spend portfolio and delivering strategies that drive retail growth and commercial value.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to define global partners through market insights and strategic relationships with leading FMCG retail brands.
  • Developing and implementing a procurement strategy, creating centralised frameworks and embedding procurement best practice across international markets.
  • Providing expertise on coffee commodities and sustainability, influencing sourcing decisions and establishing global purchasing standards.
  • Building strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver innovation, resilience, and long-term value.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale global procurement categories within FMCG, retail, foodservice, or hospitality environments.
  • Experience leading complex category strategies across multiple markets and international stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering value through strategic supplier partnerships and negotiations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively at senior leadership level.
