Overview
North Acton, London - site based role
£45–55k (with some potential flex)
About the company
I’m working with a fast-growing, super-premium food business that’s redefining quality in its category and bringing production back in-house to protect flavour, authenticity and control. The business has grown rapidly over the last few years and is now investing heavily in its own manufacturing capability.
Client context
My client is a challenger FMCG brand with deep culinary heritage and serious growth momentum. They’ve gone from small-batch production to national retail listings and are now entering the next phase of scale. Quality is non-negotiable. Speed and scale matter, but not at the expense of product integrity.
Role
This is a hands-on Production Manager role, owning a small but growing manufacturing site and helping design how it scales. You’ll take a supply plan and turn it into reality:
- Build and run weekly production plans
- Own raw material planning, purchasing and stock control
- Manage and develop a team of around 10–12 (chefs, operatives, porters)
- Lead food safety, technical standards and BRC/SALSA readiness
- Support site expansion projects as volumes ramp up
- Work closely with supply planning, logistics and commercial teams
Your experience
- Experience in food manufacturing or production operations
- Comfortable planning materials, people and output
- A solid technical foundation (BRC / SALSA exposure)
- Hands-on, adaptable, and commercially aware
- Excited by growth, change and building something better
This would suit someone earlier in their management career who wants responsibility, ownership and progression.
What’s on offer
- A genuine opportunity to scale a production site almost from scratch
- Clear progression as the business grows and expands facilities
- Close collaboration with founders, chefs and senior leadership
- A role where quality, craft and ambition genuinely matter
